Support management professionals working in the Complementary Therapy Industry by giving them fundamental knowledge in this subject. Anatomy and Physiology (50 hrs)
The aim of this module is to understand and explain the functions of the functional systems and recognize the symptoms. Causes and effects of diseases and disorders of the functional systems. The functional systems covered are: skeletal, muscular, skin, cell, circulatory & lymphatic, neurological, endocrine, respiratory, digestive.
Reflexology (75hrs)
The aim of this module is to enable students to provide treatments for the purposes of inducing relaxation and stress release in clients through proper treatment of the zones and reflex areas. This treatment involves application of pressure to the feet and hands with a specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. The premise here is that such work leads to healthy physical changes to the body.
Professional Conduct & Business Awareness (50hrs)
The aim of this module is to enable student to understand types of business, advantages and disadvantages of each type of business, finance and costing, advertisement paraphernalia, and chances of promotion in the industry.
