Assessment and Grading:

This qualification will be internally and externally assessed using the assessment of skills as set out below table:

• At least age of 16 or above
• Overall pass in GCE “N” Level with at least a Grade 5 in any two subjects or pass in TCMHC GCE “N” Level in-house test
• Pass in GCE “N” Level Chinese with minimum Grade 5 or pass in TCMHC GCE “N” Level in-house test

The ITEC Level 2 Certificate in Waxing consists of 1 unit

• Waxing (50 hours)

This course aims to give a foundation in Waxing as a form of depilatory and temporary hair- removal. Students will be taught how to perform a litany of Waxing treatments including: hot wax, cool wax, sugaring, pre/after wax lotion, disposable spatula, cotton wool, waxing strips and tweezers. Students will learn to take appropriate contraindication and precautionary measures, as well as apply proper hygiene practices when performing Waxing treatments.

• Give a solid foundation in Waxing, and to qualify Students with a Level 2 qualification in Waxing.
• Support management professionals working in the Beauty Therapy Industry by giving them fundamental knowledge in this subject. Students will be able to develop a range of competencies, communication skills, problem-solving techniques, personal qualities, and attitudes useful in their work.
• Prepare students for new career opportunities in this area.
• This course also allows you to make a smooth transition to any of our many beauty and wellness programmes.
