Admission Process

For Local Applicant

1. TCMHC’s Operations Staff will give successfully-selected applicant the following:

 a) Letter of Offer

b) Advisory Note

c) Standard PEI-Student Contract

d) Medical Declaration Forms (if student have medical insurance)

These will be duly explained to the applicant by TCMHC’s Operations Staff

2. Applicant signs all documents in Point 1 after he/she fully understands the implications of the contractual obligations. Two copies are to be printed. One copy is to be held by applicant, and the other will be kept by TCMHC for record purposes

3. Student to make all applicable Course Fee Payments. Operations Staff to collect payment and issue receipt immediately upon receiving payment

4. Operations Staff to protect student by purchasing Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) and Medical Insurance (where applicable) for all students. Two copies of Certificate of Insurance (COI) will be printed out – 1 for the student, another for TCMHC

5. Student attends Orientation Program and is debriefed again by Operations Staff or Lecturer. For local students, Student orientation will be done on the first day of their course at TCMHC.

For International Applicant

1. Student fills-up Form V16 and V36, and emails/fax the completed forms to TCMHC together with a recent passport-sized photo.

2. TCMHC submits the application (complete with all the relevant items) for the student via ICA’s SOLAR + System. The Student’s Student Pass is approved by ICA. TCMHC’s Operations Staff will be notified of the outcome. Upon ICA Approval, an In-Principal (IPA) letter will be issued to the applicant.

v  Approved by ICA – TCMHC’s Operations Staff arranges for Student to go through medical check-up.

v  Rejected by ICA – The student may make an appeal to ICA.  If, the appeal is rejected, student drops out from this entire process3.

3. Once the IPA has been approved, TCMHC Operation staff will arrange for student to come to Singapore. After that, Operation staff will arrange for student to go for Medical check-up.

v Pass the Medical check-up – Medical check-up result will be updated to ICA.

v Fail the Medical check-up – Drop out from this entire process and return to their home country.

4. TCMHC’s Operations Staff will arrange for Student to collect student pass from ICA. Prior to the collection of the Student Pass, he/she will have to acknowledge a copy of the Terms and Conditions of Student’s Pass Card.

5. Once Student Pass Card is approved, TCMHCs Operations Staff will give successfully-selected applicants the following

a) Letter of Offer

b) Advisory Note

c) Standard PEI-Student Contract

These will be duly explained to the Applicant by TCMHC’s Operations Staff/Student Recruitment Agent

6.  Applicant signs all documents in Point 5 after he/she fully understands the implications of the contractual obligations. One copy is to be held by Applicant, and the other will be for TCMHC for record purposes.

7. Student to make all applicable Course Fee Payments. Operations Staff to collect payment and issue receipt immediately upon receiving payment.

8. Operations Staff to protect student by purchasing Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) and Medical Insurance for all students. Two copies of FPS Certificate of Insurance (COI) will be printed out – 1 for the student, another for TCMHC.

9. Student attends Orientation Program upon arriving in Singapore and is debriefed again by Operations Staff/Lecturer, after which he/she commences the undertaking of the course.
